DOUBLE GOURD TRANSPORT BOTTLE (PC-042) Region From: Possibly Shiraz, Persia. Estimated Date of Production: Late 1700s. Dimensions: 546 mm in height, 238 mm in diameter. Weight: 3918 grams Colour: Rich green. Light content residue remains. Technique: Smooth base, freeblown, thick string rim. Sheared and unpolished (jagged) lip. Description: Delightful double gourd bottle, possibly mimicking Chinese porcelain of the 12th-20th centuries. Provenance: Purchased 2013, Tennessee, USA.
