SMALL SIZE DOUBLE GOURD TRANSPORT BOTTLE (PC-205) Region From: Possibly Shiraz, Persia. Estimated Date of Production: Late 1700s. Dimensions: 498 mm in height, 217 mm in diameter. Weight: 2294 grams Colour: Yellow amber. Light content residue remains. Technique: Smooth base, freeblown, thick string rim. Sheared and unpolished (jagged) lip. Description: Delightful scarcer smaller-sized double gourd bottle, possibly mimicking Chinese porcelain of the 12th-20th centuries. Provenance: Purchased 2016, German Collection.
