SINGLE SERVING ROUND-BODIED BOTTLE (PC-122) Region From: Likely Isfahan, Persia. Estimated Date of Production: Early to mid 1700s. Dimensions: 243 mm in height, 169 mm in circumference. Weight: 633 grams Colour: Yellow green. Technique: Smooth base, freeblown, rouletted string rim. Sheared and unpolished (jagged) lip. Description: The only Persian bottle I’ve seen that looks just like an English or Continental onion bottle. Glass “patch” applied over inclusion in body at time of manufacture. Unique in this regard.
